Recently found out that Manny Halbert passed away back in 2004.

He was quite a character.  I remember a story about a security guard that had fallen asleep in the lobby.  Manny came in the door, looked at him, and went into the office.  He came out, lay the guys paycheck on his chest, and said "he's got a job as long as he remains asleep." and walked away.  Priceless.

Yeah... that was priceless (not sure if in a good way or bad).. But I've seen so many sides of him.. He could be very loving one minute and then turn around & just fire someone... Why?.. because they weren't wearing the right shoes... yes .. this did happen.. funny thing is that the guy, he tried to fire, didn't even work there... kind of scary when your standing there, in the line of fire, and all of a sudden he looks at u and your like... Ok.. I'm fired... but no that wouldn't be Manny..  To easy... So, he asked me if I wanted a ride home.. I respectfully turned him and reminded him that I had just gotten in for my shift...  He really was a great guy.. can be intimidating but still a really great guy!!

I remember Mnny going around and shutting off  the lights in the hotel to save money. He was such a character but at the same time a nice man. Nettie was the best and kept him in line.
